Fifty years ago one of the greatest horror films of all time, The Exorcist, premiered. Two men have made it their life‘s mission to bring a musical version to the Broadway stage. This is their haunted, twisted story: Pea Soup: The Making of The Exorcist The Musical.
Pea Soup: The Making of The Exorcist, The Musical, is a terrifying documentary following the attempted and hellacious production of bringing The Exorcist to the Broadway stage. Featuring producers Michael A. Stusser and David J. Goldfarb, the documentary premiers on the 50th anniversary of the iconic film.
Michael A. Stusser is an author, inventor, and documentary filmmaker. His book, The Dead Guy Interviews: Conversations with 45 of the Most Accomplished, Notorious, and Deceased Personalities in History was released to critical acclaim by Penguin Publishing. Stusser’s essay for the Village Voice/Seattle Weekly, “Sleeping with Siri,” was recently made into an award-winning documentary. Stusser also hosts, Higher Ground, a satirical talkshow that attempts to Elevate the Dialogue on Cannabis Culture.
David Goldfarb studied improv at the Groundlings in L.A. Now in his third decade as a performer, David is best known for his quirky and unique characters for video games, commercials and in film. You've heard his voice as Ludwig von Koopa on Mario Kart 8 and seen him spoof Captain Kirk in a Volkswagen commercial. One of his early career breaks came when Disney hired him to dub the voice of Chance, the American bulldog (played by Michael J. Fox) in Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey. David also voiced the witty Dr. Wallow for the game, Bombing Bastards. David does the voices for all 27 different characters in Sky Village-Trail of Spells, a dyslexia reading app. He has written and performed stand up comedy around the U.S. and Canada. While in college, David won a regional MTV Comedy Laugh Off contest and placed in the Top 5 in the national championships. davidjgoldfarb.com
